History
Aguiatur is a tourist entertainment company created in 2004, headquartered on Terceira Island - Azores. The office is located in the Marina of Angra de Heroísmo, and is supported by a kiosk on Avenida Tenente Coronel José Agostinho. The company is made up of a young and dynamic team with higher education in several areas, developing activities throughout the year, both on land and at sea.
Maritime activities assume a role of great production for the company, especially whale watching. Because it is located in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the Azores archipelago is on the migration route of many species of cetaceans, which makes it one of the best places in the world for whale and dolphin watching activities. Here we can find about 25 different species of cetaceans. In addition to the contemplation of marine life, we take boat trips along the south coast of the island and Ilhéus das Cabras. Our visitors can also appreciate the contours of Angra do Heroísmo Bay by canoe.
Onshore activities allow our guests to visit volcanoes and lava tubes, sulfur vents, enjoy panoramic views from some of the island's highest points, natural basaltic pools, forests rich in endemisms and much more.
