Angra do Heroísmo: World Heritage City
Walking tour through the most emblematic places in the World Heritage city of Angra do Heroísmo.
The reasons for Angra do Heroísmo to be included in the World Heritage list are essentially two: the layout and the urban organization; and testimony to the history of navigation in the Atlantic.
This tour starts at Alto da Memória, going down to Jardim Duque da Terceira. Afterwards, visit the Teatro Angrense, Adro da Sé Catedral and Pátio de Alfândega, where the statue of Vasco da Gama is located. Continue by Rua Direita, ending at Praça Velha where the Town Hall can be visited.
